A few weeks ago I took a wonderful class at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center on Laotian cooking. Led by instructor Sohkham Santhavilay, we chopped, ground and shredded our way to a Laotian feast featuring Chicken and Tofu Larb, Green Papaya Salad and Sticky Rice.
You can see a slide show of the cooking class here.
If you'd like to see the Photobucket album complete with descriptions, please click here.
I'll write more on the food of Laos and these recipes soon. The class is one of a series of four (the first was Korean which I missed). Tomorrow is South Asian Samosas and in two weeks is Chinese Dumplings. Watch for more on the classes!

Neat! What a good opportunity. Were there a lot of people in the class?
Class was limited to 15 and it was very hands on. There was a Korean class(which I missed), but watch for photos and post on Indian and the upcoming Chinese dumpling.
